Rotors and Pads

Looking at upgrading the brakes on my car. Stock rotors are warped so if I'm gonna replace them, might as well upgrade? Plus some slotted rotors will add a little eye candy for when I upgrade wheels. What are people running for rotors and pads? I found some no-name kits on eBay but my friend bought a set for his road-race Integra and said they were junk, had to throw them away.

Thanks. Those R1 rotors look pretty nice and the reviews are pretty good too. Not a bad price either. Like I said, those $25 Brembos just seem suspect. And with the new wheels, they will look awesome. What's better than eye candy? Functional eye candy, of course!

Yeah i know what you mean wouldn't even buy it.
I have a Brembo that lasted so far is not slotted got it from Goodyear the round drum like is powder coated but it started to add some rust. Thats all good though. Brembo suppose to be one of the best rotors in the market.

The caliper paint wouldn't actually trust as much not knowing the result and how long it will last. I would sand down the original, but take em apart and dip into a solution to get whatever particles and rust out of the way and sand them down with at least 2000 grit paper after drying then apply the Caliper Paint for best result i guess this way it will display nice and appealing and lasting a longer period of time.

Washed the car this weekend and got looking at those covers in the front bumper that block off where the foglights would go if so equipped. Maybe I'm crazy but that opening looks light a great scoop to run ducts from for cooling the front brakes.

I saw a thread that the 91-96 Nsx calipers fit just like the type II....is that doable with the rl brake rotors and rl brake caliper brackets?

All coupes 93-95 will have t2 calipers mine are in the link I posted above

Ohhh okkk. Now I found them online. awesome. So I'll do the rl rotors and brackets and the type II calipers for my front brakes! I'm stoked to see how they will look!

Just get legend pads and you will be good to go they cover more surface area then rl pads

How important is it to use ceramic pads? Cus the pads I ordered are semi metallic and my buddy is saying that isn't a good idea if I'm going to use them with slotted rotors and that it could mess up the rotor. Is there truth to that? I feel pretty ignorant :/

Not true but they are a lil rougher on the rotors but you will be ok. You can go and grab pads from your local parts store and return those if you like.
