225/45/17 on a 7" wide rim is fine. I ran that size on my 17X7" rims for years with no problems. However, rubbing will obviously depend on what offset the TSX rims are.

Why? Since when does a car have to be RWD to have wider rears? Most of the things we do to our cars are for looks, and wider rears are definately sexier.

And who came up with the 225 rule anyways? IMO, 225 tires should be the minimum width ne1 puts on these cars.

Trippin, I know I've asked you for pics before, could you snap some close ups on those 245 rears? I'm in the process of boring a set of 7 spoke TSX rims (like yurs) and I can't decide on 235s or 245s for them.

From a functional standpoint, rear width bias on a FWD platform just increases an already bad case of understeer. I, for one, will never understand why anyone would sacrifice that much function for useless esthetics. If you want rear width bias, buy a rear-wheel drive car.
