Steps:
Washed with Megs Gold Class
Dried
Polished with Megs Diamond Cut 7" Yellow Pad and Megs #80 (Speed Glaze) with Dewalt Rotary
Polished with 8" 3m Ultrafina pad and 3m Ultrafina SE polish with dewalt Rotary
Alcohol wipe down
Applied Megs #21 Synthetic sealant

Im gonna try to get sun shots, but living where i do, trees block alot.

I have an addiction for detailing supplies and learning how to use them. I did find out the hard way while doing blackbirds hood, cold panels dont buff well. It just causes the polish to gum up and makes the rotary draw more amps and pop the fuse on my extension cord :( This is the only time I have found that detailing in the sun actually works :P

Looks great. That is one advantage of a black car, the reflections are so nice when the car is clean.

ActionJackson 11-21-08 03:30 PM

WOW.. Very nice job. Reflection of trees is incredible.

LegendLand 11-21-08 04:50 PM

Now that's shine!!! Great work!

Saywhat 04-15-09 02:59 PM

To bad my car can't shine as nice as that... I even waxed it :(

FF Drifter 04-15-09 05:50 PM

Wax isn't enough. You need to do a full clean: a proper wash, a claying session to remove otherwise invisible impurities still in the paint, a cut (or several cuts) of polish to flatten out/reduce imperfections, then a good proper waxing to seal your hard work in place.

Lookin' good doesn't come easy ;)

DandDEE 04-15-09 06:58 PM

FFdrifter can you show some products of the things you were takin about..
In maybe this way (thats if you feel like it..).
Pics-> this is for...
