Sounds like you need to pull the speaker out and take a look. As for a new speaker, its been a while but Bose was still supplying them for only about $40 each.

Have you replaced the transmission fluid, if so did you use Castrol Import for Honda. Don't use the new Acura/Honda auto transmission fluid as it causes problems for many Legends.
