ahh, i see i see (seat). ok, i'm relooking at the trunk/spoiler pics, what is so bad that is needs to be repianted? i mean i see the swirl marks and light scuffs, is there something more that i'm not seeing?
There is spider cracks in the paint. Whoever painted the trunk must have used macco or peach autopainting. Very cheap paint. The pieces need to be sanded and repainted. There is no dents or dings or rust on pieces.

Whew!!

First off, I'd like to say thankyou to Russ for the fast shipping and excellent packaging. Also, if your a car mechanic/Legend buff, you probably wouldn't have much as much trouble.

I thought it might be helpful for anyone else to know what they're getting into if they decide to replace the door handle. :). If anyone else is thinking about doing this, I highly suggest trying to grow a 3rd or 4th arm to help you or make sure you got a friend handy. Oddly enough, in the 91-93 legend manual, the instructions are a little off, :-0. I'll try and explain. The door handle latch rod, that goes from the door latch and threads into the door handle, is supposed to be "pryed out of the lock rod by a flat head screwdriver". And if anyone can tell me how to do that without destroying all the threads, I would love to know.

So the only way that I could think of getting the old handle off and the new one on was to undo the door latch, rotate it and bring it down in order to wedge the handle out the maintenence window and spin the entire handle around the rod(noting that it was 16 rotations to get it off, really helps on lining it up when you put the new one on). Then reversing for installation.

So 5 hours later, its in, and I'll try to snap some pics of the completed work. Unfortunately, when I was squeezing the new one in, I scratched off some of the new paint, but I'm exstatic that I got it in and it works. Goodluck.
