2jz-NA-t Project

2 years after my legend coupe was stolen i decide to get a replacement for it which is 92 SC3.
200k on the body i bought a newer engine with 80k,i will drop that in ,slap a turbo on it and keep moving.
I am aiming for 500rwhp:yes: It is nothing on the JZ.so i will let you know how the project goes pics are coming soon

The V8!!! i wish i bought a the GS430 when i got mine!!
300 hp all you need is SRT Intake and ECU, Exhaust,header,2800 or 3200 stall TQ, Supra TT LSD and Good if you don't wanna go turbo that's what i wish i've done.
There are a few guys that are running a supercharger on the 400 and 430, pushing 394whp and TQ.
Or if roll with Big dogs Custum TT set up 7psi over 5**hp to the crank.
The SC400 are really cheap and a lot people are going for the 400 and swap the 2jzgte in them .
I saw one SC4 for sale TT set up in Chicago 570rwhp for sale cleanest set i have ever seen.
I will be getting an LS430 sometime this year,i will be going nutt with GS.

I got the TT motor mount,rear main seal and crank seal since they don't come in the gasket kit.
I order the oil pump ,i have two of them but didnt wanna take the risk, it may go bad when i put it in .
Next week i am ordering the parts for the manual swap ,i cant pick up the manual trans since in have the old engine and trans in the garage no room for anything.
Got the new seat ,hood, new front bumper, steering wheel ,New 3 rows racing radiator from fluidyne, 4 pistons caliper ,rear wing.
I am going to drop the motor and tranny in next week just to make everything properly and them slap the Turbo and rest of the stuff.
I need some Rx 7 injectors 550cc.

lol lol you shouldnt yet!!! i didnt even start YET my friend it will fun when i get on the dyno lol.
500whp that's all i want nothing more. Everything should be ready in the next 2 to 3 months let see what happen i will post pics of the progress .

I am also working on the same thing right now. I have a 93 Lexus GS 300 /Blue/Grey Interior. I am in the body work stage right now. Shaving the antenna and passenger key whole ect. here are pic's of my car and the look I am going for along with the color interior I am shooting for. I am also installing a 2j with trans, ecu and harness and will be looking for close to 410hp....

Dude I am a grown ass man. I am glad to see that I am not the only person on this fourm working on this project. There are about 4 people total that I know that are doing the samething right now homie.... maybe I had something to offer to the thread, maybe some helpful information, maybe I could exchange some of my bodywork experties for Quick's engine help.... you never know homie.... "Hi Jacking" someone's thread sounds really girly dude... especially if the owner is not beefing...seriously...... and I mean this from the heart.... "I am a really cool dude but I don't like stupid shit playboy... and I will not do this internet bickering thing either homie...... You live in Knoxville correct? yo quick, what is a round figure that youve spent on the extras outside the engine, trans, ecu, and harness? we working something like this, and i was curious.

why do cats always talk about why you repeating a thread this has been talked about, then when you bump your ideas into a thread you call it hijacking, WTF! thats one major problem with these forums as it is, info. is all over the place with alot of BS in between. you have 3 cats on the same mission, and its good to be able to bump each other in one spot rather than keep up with each different thread.

by the way quick, the whips are sick!

Hey man, let me first say my intentions were not to hijack your tread (what ever that really means) I think a fourm brings us all together to discuss what ever. I do not mind if someone shows off their project in my thread. By your questions above I do think you mind either but being the man that I am I would like to apologize to you personally if you took offense to me putting pic's of my project in your thread. Now to the business at hand. I am loving your project homie,,,,

Is it an Aristo swap or USDM supra?
I had the the UDSM supra GTE but the harness was cut at the intake manifold ,so i called DR Tweak to get the harness extended and replace the broken connectors and was $1000 to get done that's when i changed my mind and decided NA-T all the way out.
The only thing that i hate on the NA is stupid Intake that come along the valve cover and the Distributor cap sitting right where the Turbo sits.
I have seen i few guys on SF losing the Distributor and going with the VVTi coilpacks, and FFIM which i would to do on my SC.
I could by a longblock with trans ecu and harness for the price of the FFIM.
I am not sure what trans I will be using just yet. I was told that the stock 2jgte trans would hold up to 450. I have not done any research on this yet. One of my goals is to have a 410hp daily driver you know..I am looking for 410 at the wheels. I like the look of the 2jgte and I like how scalable it it is you know.... I have access to a few parts so if you need something please let me know .........i just got a good deal on a Getrag 6speed 3100 what do you think. I want it but my pockets are so hurt right now. I would have to sell a bike to get.... I would really like a manual trans GS300. I know that auto trans would be faster but I like to be different you know.... what do you think..?

Losaun what trans are u using ?
You are looking for 410hp or 410whp ?
For 410whp i will stick with GE and go na-t, But the GTE look more better and easy access to the spark splugs and valve covers.
I going to do my GS next after the SC.
2009 is been good to me so far hope it stays like that.

So last night one of my buddy pick up the old engine and tranny, i replaced the oil pump ,bolt the oil pan lower and upper ,oil strainer ,oil level sensor so that part is done.
i will be power washing the engine sunday , I am going to NY this afternoon .
Will pick up more parts on sunday at my buddy's house will some pics sunday

@Losaun - Im cooled down from responding to your post. Heres the deal. I love the "Other Car" forum, I LOVE seeing other peoples builds. I would LOVE to see an entire thread about your car, filled with every bit of information you care to share. Thats the only reason why i made the hijack comment WITH the smiley face. As you pointed out, its not my thread, I don't care if OP doesn't, BUT I DO WANT to see an entire thread about your car. Simple as that. Hope we can be cool, as a RULE i never antagonize anyone on the forum (Exception: Lounge Political Threads) and I certainly wasn't trying to antagonize you. As you put it, we are both "Grown Ass Men" and I think this is kinda silly.

i've been looking for a platform to throw this GTE in that's been sitting on the shop floor for more than a year. my cousin/ business partner did the sc3/ gte swap and it runs beautifully. imho i think the gs has way more to offerthan the coupe. the look is timeless(mine is a 94 gs) the rarity of seeing a clean one is high on the scale. then add the gte twins, FMIC, lowering kit, paint and rims and you have the real "ultimate driving machine". hey by the way have you guys seen the E (something) BMW 3 Series with the 6 speed 2j in it. sweet shit

oh yeah you car has a nice mix of VIP drifter and gangster keep up the good work

I'm leaning more towards getting another stock 2jz for the summer so I can drive asap, then I'll save the v8 swap for this winter when I cop a truck. Getting rides from my girl or my homies can only go on for so long ya know. lol

So i didnt sell my trans i decided to keep the project going, last few night i have been cleaning the old parts like A/C compressor and P/S pump oil pan engine bay.
I painted the Block Black and oil pan,The clutch should be here today I will try to get the car running tommorow .i will take more pics tonight stay tuned

As for the project i am going a different route!!!!!
The GTE route i was just tired of spending money just on Toyota parts not even performance yet.
I am going to pick it saturday in Jersey and the car should be done in the next 2 weeks i will just drop right in ,I going to get the harness extended and plug & play.
I sold all the parts except the manual trans and the block.
With the Stock Twin i can make 400rwhp.I will keep the for 6 month /1 year and then go Single ,Im thinking GT42.will see after get my new engine.

Losaun are u still looking for the Aristo tranny i will be getting my engine locally so let me know if you still need the trans ,i will only charge you 200$ for it and you pay shipping let me know if you still interested.
I didnt want to spend 2500$ but going to 1900 on this engine, and since it's local i am so excited !!! I can't wait till saturday.
I will post pics of the whole process.

I wanted to do this to my legend when i had her ,but it looks like i wasnt gonna be able to do it.
Ive been wanting to create a 500 Rwhp Dailly driver for a long time ,but i didnt have the time and the info that i needed . After six years of research i come to the conclusion and made my mind.
I saved a lot of money,BTW my Wife bought me the SC she knew it was my dream to build a 500 rwhp SC.
She loves to see me work on my car because it keeps me Home and out of trouble!!!! lol

so yeah i am going a different route
1JZ-GTE 2.5L Twin Turbo
I can make easily 340rwhp with stock twins
To hit 500 rwhp i will have to go single with a 63 or 67 Trim, TT injectors, Walbro 255 fuel Pump and some othe things
Here is the story i talk to this Guy in Jersey that had the 2JZ-GTE i offered him 1900$ by the time i get there he sold it and it was the last one , after 4hrs of driving when i got there the engine was gonna and i didnt wanna come home empty handed so i pick the 1J engine and BTW i never liked the look of this engine but my friend has i in his SC and convinced me to get it. He has a 1JZ head on a 2JZ Block 800 RWHP i mean 800 to the wheel SC
they call this swap the 1.5JZ its a 2.5L head on a 3.0L block.
He is gonna extend my wiring Harness tomorrow , I am goin to order my parts from Japan on Tueday because the 1JZ never made it to the US.

Smart choice. I heard the 1JZ is less prone to bhg than the 2jz, is that true?(not saying that the 2jz has bhg problems)

Here is the thing when i was ready to get the GTE i couldnt find anything local , found a few of the in Canada but did not want to paypal them $2000 and then they will just send whatever, and the only one that i found localy the guy wanted 2200$ .
So when i got there saturday, and come to find out he sold it .
I had 3 choices:
1* Drive home empty handed and wait 3 more months !!!!!!!!
2*Gte the VVTi GTE which will involve a lot of wiring, which I hate!!!!!
3*Pick UP a nice 1JZ with everything on it.

The difference between both engine is the 1JZ rev up 7500 rpm and the 2JZ GTE not sure.
The 1JZ basically spins fast not saying that its better than the 2JZ.
I wanted the 2JZ but i dont regret buying the 1J ,It will 800 hp without opening the Valve covers.
My friend is the got me into the 1JZ thing he has an 800rwhp SC,it has 2jZ block and 1jz head.The car has more TQ that HP.
