i kinda figured that might b a problem, 2moro ill take a pic but ill also try to explain.
the vacum hose goes from the air filter to a metal tubing (pic i posted) that is maybe a foot? little longer? and then back into hose. i dont know how much good thatll do you.

I wouldn't advice to substitute the hard-plumbed coolant line(s) to just a regular hose; they're there for a reason

I thought that tube was a coolant hose...maybe im wrong
It's 2 metal tube together. The reason why its there is to keep the hoses from bouncing up and down. And it'll keep it away from the motor or else its gonna create a hole and have coolant all over the place. That tube makes the hoses hold its position. Like I said, the bottom tube passes coolant through it and the top tube passes air from the air filter tube to the top rear valve cover.

just a question is it important that that tube is connected to the intake?

because i just recently installed CAI on my legend and i dont have that metal tube that was plugged into the stock intake plugged in to the cai

If you want, use a small breather filter.
