I like thw look of the oem headunit to go with the overall flow of the car besides an aftermarket head unit...yes im weird but I also want some preformence...I know I can hook an aftermarket sub to my OEM

but can I hook up 4 speakers and a sub to my factory headunit? I know that there is a 2 ohm difference between most...but id like to purchase some new speakers and hook up my old subs from my last car....thanks guys your opinions have always been great and the help even better.

Yes, there are a couple of ways to do it.
THe easiest is to use the same Line Output Convertor you would use to add a sub, but run the LOC outputs into a crossover network and then out to your amps. A very good LOC can be found here.... http://www.davidnavone.com/

The second way involves more work, but will provide better sound quality. This involves bypassing the factory amp altogether by converting the line output wire from the HU to RCAs at the factory amp location. If you want to go thatr route I can provide a step by step for you.

thanks man....I would love it with the stock head unit...but of course i might be stuck with upgrading a headunit..

G Rahn---thanks man that info and pics will be great...thanks man...ill see what ill get into

if u really want to keep the Stock HU but upgrade the outputs coming off of it to better benefit your speakers and sub, JL has a unit called "Cleansweep"... well worth its money...
