I really admire the work you put into it, but I have to agree with a coupe of the members when they say, "the shifter looks a little darker." It's clean though ! But, I still dig the pic below:

Yeah thats a star tac motorola! I've upgraded since this pic ;)

Perfect match 99.9% in my eyes. EPT can't even give you 99.9% ;)

I wonder if this will work on the shifters from the TL's...I have the OEM leather one that comes with the cars because I had the Burlwood one installed. I'd like to put the leather one in the Legend to get rid of that big ugly thing my coupe has right now. It's black so I don't see why it wouldn't match up. What you guys think?

i guess your jsut have to see it in person, if anything it may be a tad lighter
I agree. The pics you took before, a long time ago looked identical in color.

Why not post them in this thread(in the initial post). :)

I think I remember reading that the TL one won't work b/c it's too short. I am not 100%....but search for "TL knob" and you will find threads about it I am sure. I know I read it here, somewhere.

After much work I actually got it to work...:D This is soooooooo much better then that big giant thing to shift gears with. I was testing out my new "short throw" shifter and guess who cut me off? A Legend coupe from Cali...I just waved and was on my way. Anyway, here are some pics of the finished product...

i'm a little confused....

i took my stock shifter off.
the metal that the stock shifter slides onto is the same size as the MDX shifter. do i have to cut this off entirely? or is there a difference between my '92 and the '95?
the way it looks now is that without cutting the entire piece off i can't use the shift knob.

thanks in advance.

Sprung17 - Is your MDX knob looks exactly like the one on Roger's car? If it does, I would be gladly to take it from you for $30 like frantinez did. Please let me know. Thanks.
Yeah, its exactly like that. If you want, give me your e-mail address and I will send you the picture of it.

What glue did you use for the knob? Is it still possible to use all three screws?

okay question... when you remove the shift knob on the GS and the coupes...does it have a scren type shifter linkage cause from the pics it is looking like it is just screw on type thing...for all Type Is the Shifter is different it's not a screw on type it looks like a metal rod with a plastic tip that is used when the cantelever push button shifter knob.

this is an interesting thing here i just need to know if it is just that it cant work for type I sedans.
