1st car 93 L coupe many problems for someone with low income to keep rack and pinion needed replacing, tranny slipping, and BHG seeping, traded for an accord...

Legend lust stuck with me and i bought my current coupe with 3 cars. i was only in the market for a 95 coupe or blk/blk 6spd...but i found the next best thing in the auto LS, couldnt pass it up for the price

i cant say im up there with ownership but since these cars came out i had always wanted to own one. even as i own one now, i still frequent craigslist to see what Legends are on the market. i always wanted a 4door but the 2doors got my sexy. my gf tells me to get a 4door car but im never gonna part with my current car. Legend that is (unless someone wants to swap for a blk/blk 6spd LS coupe 95 only!!! i had the ability to get a 07 camry SE 6spd V6 and went after the Legend. i havent been working for 6 months now and i havent gotten any excuse to part. no broken winshield, no stinking VSS, or even a BHG problem if it happens would turn me away, as weve come to the 3.5 swap era. i passed up paying rent, phone bills, school tuition to get my car and will do just as much to keep her running or keep her in my possession

i might not have the best looking or cleanest Legend but this is what i am happy with. the car and the looks, and if god forbids, something happens to my car to where i cant do anything about it best believe i will be looking for another

Had my Legend since 2000. Just hit 200,000 miles not too long ago and I put about 130k of them. First fell in love with it in 1995, I was working with my uncle in his traffic school, and would always see this Legend parked in the lot with those sexy headlights looking at me. Never would imagine that 5 yrs later I would own it. Most of my repairs have been at the dealership and some at an acura independant shop but nothing major, worst thing was probably the radiator but no BHG.
I was actively looking to buy a newer car to keep the Legend company (starts with an N ends with an X), but decided to hold on since I want to buy a house here in Los Angeles, you know how expensive that can get.
So am I an enthusiast? To some extent. Will I keep it until it dies? Yes.

the only day ill get rid of my legend is when the frame corrodes and the car just falls to pieces.. im thinking that wont be anytime in my lifetime..

(#3) 1995 LS Coupe Auto..dark green/tan. Wifes car and she loved it. Gave up her 87 Supra for it which is like saying she gave up breathing air because she REALLY REALLY liked her Supra. Volunteered to take over the GS

So yeah...I would consider us to be Legend faithful.
87!

hella good year!
lol
7mge? or a 7mgte?
5 speed?
TEMS?
hahaha
omfg i love supra/cressida =/

but yet again... my legend fills the void =]

i want BOTH !!! ggaahh!!!

Twice I have been told and encouraged to get rid of the car, bribed with even another Legend. And still I fight.

I love my car. It is part of my life, and even part of my identity.

There is not car I'd rather have, and no amount of money that would pry my Legend out of my hands.
I couldn't have said it better. I have faced the same situation where my parents told me to get rid of my G1 because it doesn't have any airbags and it is getting on in years. I was offered a G2. Now I may have thought about the idea of havinga G2 for a while, but then I thought, how could I possibly let my Legend go, it is mine and nobody elses.

I go through withdrawal when my wife drives my car!:giggle:
You get withdrawals too :giggle:

Owning a Legend has always been part of my dream, and I am living it...
:)
It is nice to live the dream.

Well all I can say is that I am dedicated. I try and help out where I can on the forum, however so much of my time has been occupied over the last year or so it is quite hard. As previously said only you know if you are an enthusiast or not and everybody has different views of what an enthusiast is.
For me there are enthusiasts and there are Legend enthusiasts. A Legend enthusiast:
- Hates to see a Legend that has been damaged
- Will never sell his or her Legend because of something that has gone wrong or because of the potential problems which could arise
- Get's excited when another Legend goes past
- Will bore friends and family to death with the uniqueness and innovativeness Honda/Acura used when making these cars (To the point where people have suggested I see a doctor :nutkick: )
- Will look at buying another Legend when they already have more Legends than fingers
- Still get excited by a car which may have potential BHG or A/T issues

I don't know if any other car does this to people. (I assume there are others out there that have similar effects) However if you have been genuinely been bitten by the Legend bug you will be devoted for life.
I know after driving my Sister's Prelude (which is a very fun car to drive) or riding in My Uncles Audi S4 (blk on blk) or my Nanna's 540i BMW (blk on blk) I still get excited about getting back in my Legend. Don;t ask me how it works, I know my Uncle who has the S4 certainly can't understand how a car approaching 20 years old can raise my heart beat and stimulate my senses.

The Legend is not for everyone, but it is certainly for me and will continue to be apart of me for as long as I live.

Love the Legend.

EDIT: A Legend enthusiast spends over 2 hours reading through every post through 7 pages while eating his genuine 'A' cookies from the inside of the glass. ROFL.

i woulda took the G2..did u even test drive it
Yeah I drove it, (It belongs to my Mum and she still drives it) but I wasn't prepared to get rid of my very own personal Legend for another one. I will have more Legends in the future, but my '89 is my first and will be my last love.
I love to drive the G2 for sure, but I can't help the feeling when I step back into my G1.
Let's not start on which generation is better :afro: Let's just say the C series engine contributes to the magic feeling the Legend emits.
The first generation evolved into the second generation, and then there was the RL...

im just sayin as far as features, power and up to date looks. but if u gone love ur G1 whose to argue i guess as long as its a Legend and thats what counts...i dont even miss my 1st G2 93 L coupe...

i always lusted for a G1 coupe buut could never find 1. then 1 day i seen a G2 coupe for sale with a system and a TV with 110k but inside door handles dont work. didnt go for a test drive or nuttin but the car looked ok no major damage in or out (i really wanted it more cus the tv) my guess was a 91 l coupe since this was about 7 or 8 yrs aago. my uncle didnt want me to get it cus questions he was asking he didnt like. (the owner was a thug and my uncle has mental problems) last time i go to my uncle for help....missout on my 1st Legend then

then i seen another Legend at a dealer 75k pearl white paint...for 4k

point is i had soo many opportunities for a Legendbut as i sit back i can imagine how much of a headache those cars might have been and lead me to never want to own one. many might have been BHG+

tho many cars i had b4 i dont miss any of them...cept the honda cus it was stick and great on gas...(maybe the max a bit cus that was the shiniest car i ever owned)

LONG LIVE THE LEGEND!!!!
