Shaar,

First off congrats on such a nice build-up. It looks great.

I have spent a considerable amount of time searching through your posts and please correct me if I'm wrong, but I cannot find anywhere where you list the importer that you used to get ahold of these parts.

I found an importer on ebay that is currently selling what looks to be a pretty 'beat up' JDM center console (but without the top navi portion) here -

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330058567103

Is this the same outfit that you used?

Would you mind to list out the parts you did order (I know you mentioned some vent tubes, etc.) so that others could hunt down their own parts? Thanks a lot!

i used a company called superior trading international. they are total scammers, scammed me out of half the parts, thats why i'm still missing a handful of little things.

that console on ebay is not the same one as mine at all. notice that it still looks like the usdm one but just has the jdm wood heated seat area. mine is the jdm navigation console.

Shaar - I'm trying to find the part numbers for the parts that you ordered. Is there an online source where you can browse the Acura parts catalog or did you just find the part numbers piecemeal or what? I'm trying to get together a part number listing of the required pieces so I can begin to track them down. Thanks!

if your looking for the navi console you cant get that here in the U.S. these are japan only unless you find them used from someone here saling them.

you have to do alot of searching on here, ebay, and yahooJapan for starters and sometimes it cost alot of money and some time you can get them cheap! as far as getting all this done you just have to know about cars and electric or pay someone to do this for you!hell i wanted my navi console when the 1st time i saw shaar's and now i have 2 of them! I just found out about jdm parts this summer and have alot of jdm parts now!lol

Shaar - is this importer (jdmisme) the person you had problems with? If so, I won't go down that road.

Is there any way to get a list of part numbers that you ordered? If not, do you have any advice on how to find a list of part numbers for the interior pieces?

Navi a/c radio head unit!

well all that look familiar.. do you have the framing for the navi console? i recently aquired it from japan. It gives you something to mount the climate controls and radio to very securely ;)

shaar get get at me about that piece.

oh i can't sell it seperately sorry i didn't mean for it to sound like that lol. i just didn't see it in your pics so i assumed you didn't have it, it took me up until just a few weeks ago to get it in my hands finally. many many many many months of looking! its staying with my console. i just didn't know if you had it or not since i assume you don't have all your jdm parts in those pics ;)

no i have just the one but i don't plan to use the radio anyways i was gonna buy it for my second navi console i don't have it for that one.

#134 ·
if i sale it i'll let you know right now i'm gonna make a few fiberglass molds of the radio face plate then cut them up to fit aftermarket radios in them instead of cutting the jdm one up. i have a locked cutom case that i store it in along with other hard to get items.

your console install is so remarkably beautiful. excellent job well done Shaar.
this is old and he doesn't have it any more pinyix has it now.But this is what and who inspired me to get jdm stuff!

#140 ·
wow thats HOT ..i wanna do it to mime. Send me some info on what parts and where to find them pleeeeease.

#141 ·
This is a rare jdm navi console for the legends if you can find them on ebay!

#146 ·
DG, I have no idea what joke you're trying to make.

I gotta give it up to you shaar. I've had this console for 7 months and I've had a half dozen photo shoots with it... everyone still likes this shoot best. You have 10 pages of love right here. I don't know what it is. I think its a combination of the magical lighting you captured along with the black interior. Hell, even I feel a little bad I took this console from such a perfect car. If I haven't given it up for this shoot yet, great shoot man.

#149 ·
You know, whats wierd is, I didn't even really prep or do anything special for this shoot. I had my camera in my car, i just got out of class, it was evening, i walked out to my car, got in and threw all the junk sitting in the front seats and tossed it in the back seats. I got in the back seat, and just took like 5-10 pics with no flash and posted em. lol

I'm convinced the console found its way to a more loving owner :D You're taking good care of it and its shining brightly as always!

#152 ·
Damn. For my shoots I always have a location planned and do the whole 9 yards. I don't know that I'm more loving but I'm very glad you saved me the retrofitting troubles. I may have had to buy an entire spare console to complete everything, but I'm bad at getting creative. It took me six whole months to figure out how to correctly wire the LCD so I didn't get he feedback problem.

did you miss the blue?:giggle:
No, I saw it. But blue denotes sarcasm... no heat in the dead of winter WILL get you sick... theres nothing sarcastic about that.

did any one find a solution for the parking brakes yet? the console i got was for an automatic and i own a manual, there's like a 1-2 inch gap difference in the shifter. any one know if there was ever a jdm navi console for a manual tranny? i dont think i can even start my project unless i find an alternative for the parking brakes, i'm gonna look for some kinda foot pedal parking brake and try to some how make it work (haha i'm gonna have four pedals if it work), if not i'm gonna have to cut a hole in the console ( ouch ), damn !!! i want the jdm one in there so bad, especially when i keep on looking at the picture of shaar's.

1- cup holder (tired of spilling drinks into my center compartment)
2- extra outlet in the back (so wont look messy and cluttering the shifter when charging my phone)
3- want the screen on top ( people's hand always in the way of shifting using the navi)
4- want to install an EQ but no room

those are my only reasons to do the jdm swap, okay... and also it looks more stylish haha okay 5 reasons

MANUAL LEGENDS DO NOT EXIST IN JAPAN, THEY WERE NEVER MADE.

That being said, there is no JDM console or JDM navi console that was made or meant for a a manual Legend. A pedal brake definitely wont work with a clutch either. I would have never recommended buying this for someone with a manual transmission. Sorry to have to be the bearer of bad news, Good Luck.
