Your block is naked . I also would like to know what the number is.
i know it looks so weird. someone has got to know what it means

Good luck on your rebuild. i just finished doing a lot of what your getting ready to do the gaskets helped a lot.my oil pressure is much better. now im going to switch over to the royal purple. I am going full synthetic, in my engine and trans with a little z max to see how it works.didt know anyone had a strut tower bar for our cars so i made my own. i did the same with the rear sway bar and in the trunk of the car. i can take corners at much faster speeds than before.i will try to show pics of the work tonight. good luck man.

Have you thought about bigger pistons and rods. these engines cant be bored out to much because you will have a problem over heating due to being to close to the water jacket.think im going to go that route 2.8 something befor the turbo. like you money is tight and wife doesnt have the love for the car like we do.

Yup, going 3.0 is the best way to get more horses. Isn't Tony trying to get the kit?

Ah, that sucks. I wanted to see him do the upgrade first lol.

I don't think increasing the bore will cause overheating, it might raise the heat some but not to an unsafe point, 3.0 engine for the NSX not only are increasing the bore but remving the whole cylinders and puting bigger and thicker wall cylinders which makes the wall cylinder to block gap really small and this is not cuasing overheating either.

This was my plan for the 2.7 b-4 my NSX engine option.

^ there are stroker kits available. it will push the 2.7 to a 3.0. i think the're 2 grand.
Has anyone done a stroker or over size bore or anything in the engine to get for HP? I have not find anyone try something like that besides the known turbo G1's.

I never seen anyone go bigger.

It looks like there is some piston/cylinder wear, so you might consider having the block bored and honed and getting new pistons. I remember there was a crankshaft thrust problem and you should check that out. Otherwise it looks good.
