That setup and those pictures are insane. Since you are using a C32 instead of C35 do you have to do anything about the headgaskets? The C32 creates soo much heat around the cylinders without any turbos, and those graphite gaskets seem to go pretty quick when they hit a certain temp. I would have thought that just the added combustion heat would be enough to ravage them. Am I wrong on this or do you just have to replace them constantly or what?
O-ring the block, standard gaskets, reliable.

I don't understand. You seem like you have worked everything out. Why do you not post any pictures? Thats a serious question, I don't understand the need/reason for secrecy? I should mention that for me, the fun is in the building. Once i finish something i usually just end up parking it after a couple weeks and getting a new project. You probably have different motivations, and im curious as to what they are is all. Im not trying to take any shots at you here, I've seen all the information on your other mods, and everyone knows you are for real (How many other people could post saying they had done this or that, without a ton of people trying to call bullshit?), so whats with the secrecy? Why not just straight up tell Telion how you worked the headers and give a pic? Doesn't seem like it would compromise anything that much. Again, just curious not trying to start anything.
Since your fairly new around here; I dont talk in depth about my plans or current projects until they are what "I" consider done.

Well i kinda figured that part, i was wondering the reason why. Is it a people flame ideas kind of thing or you just like showing off your finished vision or what? I mean if it was a civic, id think you didn't want people stealing your ideas but with the legend, there are so few enthusiasts that everyone would know you designed it.. I remember reading your post about your tig welded exhaust hanging on the wall and seeing how many people saying they would be willing to pay extra for exhaust with DV8ed emblems..

Like I said this is pure curiosity on my part. Im not trying to insinuate that you should post what you are working on if you choose not too, but since you are a "legend god" so to speak, it seems like it would sure get this place hoppin.

Well, try to be in his shoes, would you show your unfinish project? I wouldn't, I'd wait till the whole thing is done, and then show pics, and dyno sheets on the HP. DV8, hope you stopped working on the G and continuing your project on the Legend, GL.

Thats why i said i was just curious. If i was doing a project like this, I would do it like Telion is doing it. Simply because its NOT a civic or something else lots of people have modded. I would want people to see all the crazy shit i had to do to make it work and all the various problems that popped up.

Anyway ive kind of hijacked Telions thread asking about this, so if DV8 wants to answer, thats cool. If not, thats cool also. Lets get back on track.

Just my $.02 on your question: having watched Dv8 do this for years now, he's never been a fan of the people who come in here and talk a big game about their modifications and then never get around to it. I've always figured he was the sort to get his shit done before posting about it so as to avoid any suggestion that he's all talk: for some, it's an important example to follow.

In contrast however, I prefer Telion's modus operandi. I very much enjoy watching Telion's threads because I learn a lot, get to see the work involved, and have a reasonable amount of confidence that the stubborn fool will make whatever he's dreaming about a reality eventually. I'd love to see Dv8's efforts documented as thoroughly as Telion's but I certainly respect that he's not that sort of guy. Besides, I think it's how he stays one step ahead of the rest of us... he must be the competitive sort.... :p

Houston we have a problem. Please stand by.

Nice work. It might be an optical illusion between the different color piping and sloppy welds (who cares), but the piping looks like it decreases in radius as it progresses from the flange to the collector.

The welding was free. The collectors are a little thinner than the pipes and it was burning through. He had to go back over and fill in some spots. Also he had to fill in alot of gaps with alot of weld.

My guy who did it has never made headers before. We work at a golf course. We don't do too much auto performance parts there.

Interesting point you make there and I thought about that shall we say an error in my favor. In my uneducated non scientific understanding of VE The decreasing pipe size will prove to be advantageous because at the point of the turbo flange the diamer again increases creating a vortex of sorts. There is another word that I am looking for but I have not been able to think of it for four days; but it is what makes a protein skimmer work in teh salt water aquarium world.

About the welds, the prettiness is much less relavant than the fact that they fully penetrate and are solid. They may be ground down a bit and will get Jet coated once this has proven to work.
