There was a seller on Ebay that had them for about 39.00 ea.

lol...

I've been eyeballing the F/IC for a long time now...it seems to work and I'm sure it would be beneficial...

the only thing is it's made for OBDII cars so there's some things that you're going to need to input for the OBDII cars...atleast that's what they say...you're going to need a solid base map for an OBDII car...

anyway...I'm still watchin ya

The 91-94 NSX shares very similar ECU technology to our cars and I am thinking that this is basically an EMS excerpt; pulling some of the features from the EMS to create a fully functional FIC without all the bells and whistles of the EMS. Here is where I pay homage to those that made that possible such as DV8 and Imran and the Legends Highend big brother itself the NSX

Now of course that is not a garuntee that it will work just puts the odd much greater into my favor.

WHERE?! did you get the actual pins that you are soldering to on that conversion harness? I couldnt find them anywhere.

How do those magic control boxes work? I mean how do you tune them, do you hook up a PC or some other device or what? I have no idea when it comes to the inport tuning stuff, thats why I use domestics and pots :)

A wiring harness and an ECU had to sacrificed in order to create the conversion harness now to just solder in the intercept point did it this way to make it easier to work with.

As for your other question, here is a good place to start but I can't walk you through that process.

The legend/nsx ecu seems very advanced and seems to be very versatile as well. I really am in desperate need for some support from the community to help locate an ECU from the KY/KT south american or middle eastern (UAE, Qatar, etc) market. I'm sure from studying this ECU and it's lack of oxygen sensors would yield great insight on how it operates, what certain "mystery" maps in the chip are and open up the door to tuning for boost without the need for a piggy back or adjustable fuel pressure regulators. I'm so excited I'm legitamately considering flying down there to find one :D.

Thanks for link. I wasn't looking for details just curious if you used a stand alone device or actually hooked up a PC for in the car tuning?
Oh yeah, sorry didn't understand the question.
I do have an in-car PC for in car tuning. I don't have any pics of the new setup (in progress) but here is the old setup

Here are the changes, and the empty single din will house a DVD with a video feed from the car PC more on that later though.

And don't worry SR. I have not forgone that venture, we'll talk more about that behind the scenes.

Now this was certainly not my interpretation of a fun evening :(
Now I know why they charge so much for conversion harness.

Wow, what a mess lol. Well at least you did a great job on the wiring.

Couple screen shots while hooked up to the laptop, should be able to test it tomorrow in the daily driver.

What does this unit do that the NEO can't? Just for clarification. Is your NEO useless now?
it can retard timing and adjust fuel independently without playing with the MAP sensor voltage.

it also caps mapsensor voltage to keep the ECU from wigging out when it sees over 5volts from the MAP.

EDIT:

I do have to say i'm extremely impressed with your wiring harness job...very impressive.

u guys are friggin genius's...i feel stupid jus wanting to ask questions...but being a newbie will make you do retarded things.what is the compression on the legend 3.2 type 1 and type 2 vs the 3.5 rl and if its too high can i purchase low comp pistons in order to do a single turbo application?....what exactly would i need to create a complete single turbo app for my legend or a 3.5?and that includes chipped or standalone ecu?thanks guys for any advice

Thanks B+O, good answers;

It also adjust the O2 sensors in closed loop mode which the NEO cannot, it also data-logs can run with a wideband signal, has individual maps for fuel, ignition, 02's and two extra analog maps for whatever, and flash upgrade support

You know I was kind of wondering what purpose the NEO will serve now too, and concluded that it does have the ability to monitor a few things so it will be a really nice looking gauge.

My recommendation would be to start with the FAQ section then to do a search on Google for Acura Legend Turbo so that you know what you know what is available for our cars in the aftermarket arena.

ive actually been wondering this for a while, How much was your radiator and how did you get it?
Just do a quick search on this thread for radiator.. I remember when he got it, there are tons of pics and info about it, I think it was somewhere in pages 1-15.
