What happened to it? I know something blew, but what?
rear upper ball joints=fuked. i checked everything b4 leaving for nalm but i only put about 600miles on the car since i got it running and it sat for ~3years prior. they looosened up real bad during the drive there, then i broke a clamp for one of the axle boots on the dyno. fucking cheap axles. then one of the bolts for the control arms, that bolts into the subframe, the nut inside the subframe that it bolts into broke. i was gonna weld the control but i ended up getting shimms and got them in there really tight. i gotta replaced the rear subframe now.

Wow alex! I'm glad you got everything fixed. I posted a pic of your axl greese splatter. Something tells me you didn't clean it up;)

Good times! It was great seeing everyone and meeting the new faces. Made it home with only one speeding ticket!
:hide: we had some close ones

Tuesday 8:30pm EST......3310 miles gathered from start to finish and a hell of an ass beating on my car from the LEGEND Tri-athelon! lol

Cracked Rims= 2 (Thanks Ohio!)
FK Ohio...that place bent what, 3 wheels total on us?

I must be getting too old for this shit because all I could manage is to walk out in the garage and ask the coupe "why couldn't you make it?"

LOL

Bro one of the highlights of my trip was when you were imitating all of our accents...im still laughing from when you did seans LOL :giggle::giggle: "now I sound like fuckin Sean"

I put about 3650 miles total on my car...she limped home with a frozen caliper and a BHG...looks like ima have to do it up big with the 3.5 swap

Pleasure meeting you all. Special shout out to Stella, Reboticon, Bling, Emacualte, Blackend, ActionJackson, ymisoqt, Bundle, bboarder, 89chopped, and the dudes from Nebraska, and anyone I left out who kept the vibe alive and the party going  I had a blast and cant wait for 2010

I got back to Edmonton at about 10:00pm MDT last night after leaving Springfield at 11:00am CDT ... about 1800 miles in 36 hours.

Edit: Just looked at my odometer readings.

Edmonton to Branson (once I finally got my car out of the shop): 1866 miles
Total Round Trip: 3731 miles

On the way down I did the first 1586 miles in 28 hours. I'm going to make a point to not try to make these kinds of times again, I'm wiped right out.

I'm not sure if reboticon is actually home yet, but I heard from him today and it didn't sound like he wrecked or anything.

I got home, made it to work, and still haven't taken a nap... It was apleasure meeting you and all the others! Can't wait till sap checks in w/pics ;)
Pics will have to wait a bit, I've got too much catching up to do after being gone for 11 days.

Hey guys, finally made it home a few hours ago.

Made a few detours along the way to see the Four Corners Monument, Laughlin, Historic Route 66/Amboy, Civic Musical Road, and stopped for a few days in Los Angeles, before heading home.

Grand total miles this trip: 4686.

Pics of the journey to come soon in another thread. :)

Ben it was great to meet you and quite an experience for me to see an OO Legend!
Sam, great to meet you too!! It was quite an experience to be able to drive my car 2/3 of the way across the country and back to show everyone as well. Hope to see you and your Legend again next year.
