"As for racing Mustangs and Camaros thats not my cup tea ( at least not in a 1/4 mile ) the only thing I like about 1/4 mile races is watching. I don't know how many times I have to tell you guys that Legends were not meant to be quarter mile cars. My journey to where ever my destination is DOES NOT END IN A 1/4 MILE THATS WHY I DO NOT CARE TO DO A 1/4 MILE RUN ( although I have done one against another G1 coupe and I won ). I like to run my car flat out against the red-line."

Again, not trying to start a fight or be a hater against Acuras, cuz I do still like them and might be picking up a G2 perty quick but......if you're all about top speed and not 1/4 I'd be willing to bet you pink slips that your Legend wont take my stock Z28 on top end.....so far I've had it to 150mph and I still had another 2000rpms to go and the car wasnt showing any signs of instability....top speed doesnt take too much skill in my eyes....anyone can go over 100mph....the criteria is that you dont have a governer limiting your speed, have enough HP to keep you accelerating, have good aerodynamics, and most importantly have the gearing to do it....thats about it.....for the 1/4 mile its a lil more tricky...you need to know how and when to launch to get a good reaction, you need to know how to shift so you're not losing time/speed between shifts, and you need to be able to calculate if youre gonna break out or not so you can be accurate on your times (this is all for bracket racing though)

but to each his own.....and dont get me wrong....maybe a was being a little hard on you Mr. Bigs, yes the Maximas do have more HP and are lighter but for me theres not much difference, the Maxima I was talking about that you should race is the new 255hp Maxima...that would be a nice story to tell if you beat him....but nywayz...its all gravy

"NSX heads would probably fit a G1 with a little work, but with the few g's it would cost, you could have a turbo almost paid for."

I dont think so, for a good turbo its gonna cost you about a G, and another G just for the intercooler, then youre talking custom piping, bigger injectors, a FMU, (good idea to get a boost guage), boost controller, wastegate.....etc

NSX heads wont be that expensive and you can put them on yourself, from what I understand the blocks for the g1 and the older NSX are the same so it should be a straight swap besides the bigger timing belt, and you can chip a g1 ECU to work for the NSX heads (much like they do with the Civic SOHC ECUs when you chip them for the DOHC VTEC motors)

then for wiring, like I said, I'd be willing to hook it up just to see someone do it

If that's the case, how much can you get a used NSX motor for? I haven't gotten any pricing on them but I'm thinking around $1500 for the motor used and the another thousand on parts you would need to swap, ecu, etc. Like I said, I haven't looked into this at all so I don't know what would all need to be changed.
1989~TLC got his turbo for around 4k for the whole setup. Without an intercooler or anything, I think he has around 70 hp more to the wheels. Even if the NSX heads were cheaper, they wouldn't produce that kind of horsepower increase. It would be interesting to see what they would do though.

MY CUP OF TEA!!!!!!!!!

As fas as racing goes. I like road races. You know indy cart, formula 1 etc. I also like to run my G1 down back roads that have alot of twist and turns, up and down hills. To me that is the best way to test every aspect of my cars braking, cornering, accelleration, deceleration, and shifting abilities. To me thats a blast and I also get to learn my cars characteristics more every time I add a new modification to it. Riccdog. I never have to worry about being on COPS. Nine times out of ten, when I'm on the road I'm just chillin, going from one place to the next. As far as running with a Z28 in my G1. I would do it if I were a fool. A Z28 with well over 250 horses VS. my G1 coupe with 160+ horses. Only a fool would take that race and a fool I am most certainly NOT. Peace and Blessings. Bigs out.:)

I think you could see those HP increases, for one you are about right on the motor parts.....gonna be bout $1500....then all you need for the install are new head bolts, some minor head work to weld the VTEC supply shut...and resurface the head, then a stock C27a head gasket.....all this can be done for around $600-$700, then as far as the ECU goes...you'd use your stock ECU...just have it reprogrammed (the NSX ECU is a different plug in if Im not mistaken) that'll prolly be about $300, and finally....you add 3 wires (oil pressure, VTEC activation, and cant remember the other one but my buddy knows all the stuff on it...he used to own a shop)....so total it'd be around $2500.....and then add bout $750 for miscellaneous costs that might come up..they always do....so a grand total of $3250......wow, that leaves you enough to buy a $600 basic NOS setup.....and will still be $150 less than the turbo setup and it has more uniqueness to it

You might wanna double check with Ricdogg and DV8 on my calculations since Ive never done a Legend before but I do know about VTEC conversions from going through the steps on a LS-VTEC and watching a H23-H22 project

a NSX hybrid Legend would be one bad azz car :D

Im just messing with ya....its all good.....Ricdogg looked up the skidpad ratings of a G1 and my Z28 a while ago.....just outta curiosity cuz we always mash together and surprisingly even with the solid rear axle on the camaro it was actually rated about the same as the G1....that blew me away cuz Ricdogg can always bust corners faster than my Camaro.....course I dont really push it cuz we all know what happens to RWD cars when you get to cocky on corners, but Im pondering trying it when I get some better tires on it

Sadly the Camaro has to be sold (anyone interested let me know...$12,500...96 6-speed, T-tops...has BBK headers, Hooker Supercomp exhuast, K&N intake and a LT4 knock module as of now) but I have a kid on the way so Im going to have to move from V8 to a 4 door V6 (but at least it'll be a Legend and not a Camry or Accord or sumthin ;) )

Why is it that you feel the need to write a half page post bout a race against a freakin Nissan Maxima Mr. Biggs? Theyre not that fast for one and two I sure as hell wouldnt be braggin bout it
If you want to share useless info its up to you but I for one would save my time and only post about cars that are worth the time to race, like Mustangs and the new 3.5 Altima or Maximas....not a lil azz 95-00 Maxima
If you wanna hear a good story ask Ricdogg bout the 5.0 Mustang we smoked the other week in his 4 door 1st gen, or bout DV8 running a 13.6 in his automatic 2nd gen 4 door...now thats a story, if you want to impress us go race a V8 and try to win.
Speeking of Mustangs I was racing one of the new ones that looks like it comes w/ a body kit and I don't know if he was shook up or just didn't know how to drive but I tore that @ss out the frame. ( he must have messed up while shifting ) Dam rookies:D and give my boy Mr. Biggs a break. I mean if you and a 95-00 max was at a red light and he had that race look on his face tring to race would you not gladly pop his cherry :) I do it all the time:cool:

You should be able to get the intake, and exhaust through KUSTOM KONCEPTS. They are located on route 40 west. As far as installation, they should also be able to take care of that as well. As a matter of fact you should be able to get most of if not all of the forementioned items I told you about from KUSTOM KONCEPTS. I plan on ordering my Ground-Control springs and Bilstein struts through them this summer. If they don't have what you need try ordering the parts from www.nopionline.com. Shipping and handling isn't gonna cost much ( a few pennies here and there ). By the end of the year you should have a killer ride. As far as the chip try surfing the forum because someone one the forum should be able to steer you and me in the right direction on that one. If you need anymore help you fellow family members ( fellow legend owners ) will be glad to assist you in any matter. One more thing. Give Dave C a holla. The Remus exhaust he has on his G2 sedan is WAY WAY PHAT. He should be able to let you know the model he has on his G2 sedan as well as where he purchased it from. It looks and sounds PHAT. Peace and Blessings. Bigs out. :D
Will Check that out this week :D  :D I keep hearing that on the radio
