The second or third weekend in January would work best for me as well.

 

I live in hickory, N.C. If i get new tires on the back for christmas then ill do a mountain drive with you. But yea a meet sounds good. If its somewhere not to out of my way ill go.

 

last time we had a meet, we actually all met up in hickory, and did a big loop through the mountains (made it all the way to blowing rock) and then came back to hickory, and everyone when their separate ways.

 

My vote would be a mountain cruise sometime in january. Ill have my new tires on the back by then. Cause theres no way in hell im driving around the mountain roads with yall with the tires i have on the back right now.

Ive already had the back end come out under hard braking on a turn and i wasnt expecting that shit at ALL!

I found the power steering to be very vague and i couldnt feel what the car was doing real well through the steering wheel like im used to and that kind of scared me.

haha, yea, i prob wont be able to go fast this time. My tires are getting pretty bald, and i cant afford to get new ones right now..... but ill be trying to think of something between now and the meet.

Sounds like a great idea! Im looking forward to this very much! I havent met any of you yet except for hondaman23. I would love to see 10+ Legends at once driving through the mountains. Im getting excited about this already. Just got to get new shoes for the rear end that likes to step out...

Yep, I'm in Charlotte, so that sounds great to me...I've got some work to do on my car, but nothing that should hinder my ability to make it for the cruise. I remember reading about the last one through the mountains and it sounded great.

when was the last time you talked to hondaman? he was at the first meet, and would like him to join this one if he wants. I have his (a) number for him, but if you have spoken to him recently, maybe you could let him know about this thread.

 

I talked to him last sunday actually. Yea i got his number ill call him tonight and let him know.

 

Something along the lines of our '06 meet would be cool, hopefully the weather cooperates. Once you get into Jan. I guess you start to run the risk of bad weather in the mountains sometimes. We definitely should get Wes (Hondaman23) back out, he was a great guide last time. I have vacation time in Dec, but I'm open to whatever people want to do.

Yea guys i called Hondaman23 on the 5th when i said i would and spoke to him. He said he hadnt been on the forum in a while and would check it out.

I would like for him to go as much as you all would, but am reluctant to "bug" him about it. I think he just must be real busy with other things.

 

Also, as long as i get new shoes for the tail happy rear end, i am good for january.

Got the call from 3.2Legend. Thanks for that! I certainly have not been out on the forum in a while so thanks for the heads up.

I will certainly try to make the meet. Right now the 6speed is puking coolant, I think due to a head gasket. I finally got back from all my race/driving school weekends and I hope to be building my extended garage over the winter. That means not much time for the Legend since I already have a B20/VTEC into full race Integra to build and a race D16A to build.

I hope to drop a 3.5 into the coupe and restore the car after December since my inspection runs out and I have a broken windshield, paint is falling off and it is in poor shape. I still have the GS Auto with new tires, but I am thinking of selling it. If I still have it, I will take it to the meet. If not, I will figure something out.

We can meet in Hickory or somewhere in the mountains, such as Boone or Blowing Rock. We can meet up and have a bite in Hickory again if that is what everyone wants. I can work with just about anything if I have time to prep. Lets just hope that we keep all the parts on the cars this time!

You guys need to try and make it out to a TrackDaze event. I am an instructor for them and it would be great to get some Legends out on track!

 

Glad to see you're back. I could have sworn you were selling that GS over a year ago? Funny you mention keeping parts on the cars. I'm not taking that risk again ie: Trying to keep up with you and Richard.

Besides, I'd prefer to keep Derek's old car free of accidents

 

i hope when the meet is in january i will be down in charlotte at my house i will be down there for the meet with you guys as soon as a date is set i will know if i will be down there for this one from NY to NC the kid as so many stomping grounds man.:thumbsup:

 

Im still down. I hope we have a big turn out as well. Last time we had a blast wit only 4. So imagine wit more. Any1 up for Karting again.
