Damn, that radiator looks fucked up.

@Socol - yes. dont know if you were trying to be witty but that was in fact exactly what i was implying.....besides.... you don't get to many actual "driving miles" in a ford product, so way less chances of hitting things. :giggle:

Actually it was a parking lot of a building that had gotten torn down and had stuff rebuilt over part of the lot, and still and one of those little concrete stops in a random ass place because it was from the parking lot of the original building. It was dark and i was going maybe to fast and i hit it at funky angle.
 
hmmm...you're right...the legend got fucked up...the t-bird would've just hit it and kept on going...except down the block the tires would've fallen off and the tranny would've completely dropped out of it's casing :lol:

Ya know the strange thing about that is i actually did have the rear lug studs of one of my wheels on my tbird sheer off simultaneously and my wheel shot about 150 feet through a neighbors yard.. Have had the driveshaft fall of.. The tranny just explodes in its casing.. but i do blame that on my tendency to neutral drop that car hehe.

Ok guys heres a little update 24 hours later. I pulled off the front, and the radiator core support is definitely destroyed. It seems to be welded in place? Or have i just not found the correct bolts for it yet?

Can anyone tell me what my options are here?

Should i cut it off, cut off a good one at the junkyard and weld it back?

Should i drill holes in it and try to slide hammer it back into place?

Should i rivet it and try to slide hammer it back into place?

Should i try to hammer it back into place? Use a torch to heat it first?

Body/frame repair is not something im very experienced in, so any tips would be great. I may just have to start a new thread asking this question, but hopefully i can get an answer here with its inflammatory thread title:thumbsup:

you have fkd up the frame, and I aint talkin pictures.

that support is more fckd up then that one weightlifters arm in the olympics.

don't know how your gonna fix that.

well you could always cut and paste.

I mean shear and weld anothere piece on, but otherwise I don't know...

its worth fixing tho, just don't know how far back its gonna put you.

Yeah it can be cut and pasted, its obviously been done before on this particular car. Where the metal is twisted the paint has flaked off in chips in the manner of aftermarket paint method, not the factories..

And yes, i know my avatar is appropriate. I stripped out the threads in my block when changing the headgaskets and had to helicoil it... Now i manage to destroy part of my frame while not damaging a single other part except the reciever/dryer, radiator, and passenger side motor mount. even the condensor survived...

Its time to change the avatar now that i think about it.. methinks it may be cursed.

Soo i still need some suggestions as to how to go about pulling this out for now. Im in the middle of buying another legend and this one will probably be relegated to parts car status, but i need it to be able to be driven temporarily. So i need to get that core support pull out a couple inches, or just sawzall it off and find a new creative way to mount my radiator.. All suggestions welcome, heres a pic from the top.
