I have learned so much from this forum that it is unreal. And now I am going to try and help younger or older fellow membember. I have a 1995 LS coupe Milano 6 speed in great condition, a 94 Milano red 6 speed coupe in not so great condition but it will be by this summe and a 94 GS automatic Pearl white. I have owned about 9 coupes and currently have the 3. I will post some pics on how to tackle a head gasket job for any that want to follow that path. Not really hard to do. I will post some pics as well. Thanks for reading. Peace.

Some more pics

The gold I picked up this year and sold it to my brother 94 LS coupe, the blk one I kept for a year and sold it and the Grn was the one of the best I ever owned. I put a 100,000 miles on it in two years going back and forth from Georgia/home to Ft Campbell Kentucky while in the Army. My daughter totaled it. She was fine but a young guy ran a stop light and she hit him at about 45 mph. she walked away without a scratch. this was in 2008. Ins gave me 5000.00 cash (totaled) with 250,000 miles on it. That goes to show why I only buy Acuras. Thanks for looking and if you have any questions you can pm me or I can respond so everyone can learn. Glad to be on this site!

As promised here are the pics of the Head gasket job on my GS

I did this one during the Christmas and New Year holidays. I didnt take a picture of the actual gaskets but they were toast. Take my word on it. You will only blow the gaskets if you try and make it home and its running hot or you have a leaking hose somewhere and u dont find it in time. I also torqued to the head to 65 ft/lbs instead of the required 56 ft/lbs. I have done two with in the past two months and the bolts really clamped down the head to the block with a positive feel. I will keep you guy and gals posted on the long term effects.

Holy shit: 3 Legends in one family? Never seen that before. The most beautiful one is the Red Coupe. Hat off

Thanks for the kind words

Yes Mr Mike D the red one is one of the nicest I have owned exept for the green 94 ls 2 door coupe RIP! One of the best I have owned. I bought the red one from a gentleman in Denver Colorado a couple of months ago. Saw it on Craigslists talk with him about the condition and he sent some pics and I got three plane tickets to Denver. My son and his girlfriend flew out with me and we drove it back to Savannah Georgia. The car rode smooth as silk. Has the original well the factory coolant and serviced at the acura stealership the whole life. It had about 7000.00 worth of receipt in the glove box. I really lucked out on this one and the seller was stellar, honest and straight up about the whole ordeal. He even told me to call him when I made it home. I have a few interior shots as well and the engine. If anyone has any questions on removal and replacement of the headgaskets just let me know? I will be willing to help any legend member out with tips or guidance.

Actually we have 5 in the family Mike D

not three My mother has the 94 GS Auto of course, My brothers 94 LS coupe, My GS 94 and Milano red 6 speed. I have another 6 speed 94 that I am going to restore and maybe sell this summer. So five total. And I am always searching for a diamond in the rough LS coupe or GS Sedan.

A BHG is the most terrible thing what can happen while driving our Legends. Sure you can repair it by yourself but this work is a PITA and hard as hell. I know just 3 members who did it in the past: NickD, DV8 and Mike Diaz. So I've read long long stories about her jobs and I'd never do it by myself unless I have someone who did it or who has some experiences about that work.

Once a Legend is getting the dreaded BHG, this car is going to be selled by most owners. Reason is that nobody can pay the horrible costs of around 3000€'s + 19% Tax at Honda dealers in Germany. This being so most owners selling her Legends asap because it's not worth the effort. In most cases and for the time being most Legends are been out of service. Sad but true. Now you know why Legends are the most rarest cars in Germany (esp. in Cologne where I live and where I come from). I'm pretty sure that I'm the only one who owns a Legend Coupe in my town. Sorry for being Off Topic :D

Oh and btw: Please cancel "Mr" because it sounds too nobly :giggle:
