I signed up on this site 3-4 months ago after not having much luck at the other place - acuraworld.com. During this entire time, I have spent countless hours scanning useless and unrelated posts that show up in all of my searches. Every time I run a search, regardless of what I'm searching on, I get 20 pages and 500 hits. Sure, there are items in there that match my search, but other stuff only remotely connected too. That's a huge waste of time. On the other hand, I see that many of the experienced and helpful members that have helped me, often advice newbies to search first, and only after you have done your homework, then post your question. I agree with that, and want to do it that way, but why does the search function have to be so bad????? It encourages members to ask/post first, because someone may be kind enough to point you to the answer. Why can't this be fixed? I have search problems with IE, Netscape and Firefox. Also, I set up my profile to notify me when threads I have subscribed to or posted at to notify me, via email update. I have never received an email notification. Can someone tell me what am I doing wrong, or is it a-l.com that has the problem? Searching and posting here has become difficult at best. There's tons of info here and lots of knowledge - it should just not be so difficult to get to ...
Thx, Ken

I know I'm on the same page, I'm on my last toes with the forum, I'm getting plain tired of the bullshit, and the way people can tell you your shit sucks, when they wont tell you where they got their shit for cheap, just so they can act like their better than you.

Anyways, yes it's A-L.coms problems, the search function went to shit after awhile. I can't find much, unless i know who wrote it, then you can find it easier. But the search function goes to shit, and then everyone rags on you for asking a dumb question because the sites search doesn't work. God I hate computers.
