really noob question here... but can I lower the legend with just H&R springs and stock shocks? Or do I NEED a special set of shocks (ie: koni reds or similar)?

 

well, it's noob becuase you're what we in forums call a "thread whore." but to answer the question, you don't "have" to use aftermarket struts, but in time, you will destroy your stock struts. Your oem struts are designed to go through a full range of motion, the lowering springs will halt the rebound motion too soon. It would be like the strut always slightly compressed.

So... Since I bought a new set of KYB-GR2s, that was kind of a waste of money... I'll have to wait till they go so I can buy some Koni's? Or is there a way to save them and not rub my fenders?

nice 19's....gonna get me a set soon....roll them fenders back....i didn't want all that weight in the back so i didn't get the box/system in the trunk...so i feel ya. how's the ride on the 19's btw?

 

actually, the ride isn't that bad at all. toyo makes some good tires. I figured it would be much stiffer, but then again, the last set of "good" tires I had were some Falken Azenis... and well... those are rough as sh*t!
