I would very much like to lower my car, but am not sure about clearance. I have 19x8 wheels, and with people in the back seat, or cornering, the rears rub. I'm not sure of the offset. Here are some pics of the rear:

and one of the front, to show the difference in height - wheel gap:

I have stock suspension, but I have a 45 pound subwoofer, and box, bla, bla, bla. So the rear is a lil' bit low.

well, it's noob becuase you're what we in forums call a "thread whore." but to answer the question, you don't "have" to use aftermarket struts, but in time, you will destroy your stock struts. Your oem struts are designed to go through a full range of motion, the lowering springs will halt the rebound motion too soon. It would be like the strut always slightly compressed.

Well... in my earlier days...I...:bootyshak nevermind...
I'll try not to be a slut in the future...

So... Since I bought a new set of KYB-GR2s, that was kind of a waste of money... I'll have to wait till they go so I can buy some Koni's? Or is there a way to save them and not rub my fenders?
