I do have one last problem I would like to ask about though, and i dont think its gonna be as obvious as the first one. My anti-lock light has been on non stop for the past month now, and it used to make a weird screeching sound but it doesnt even do that now, as soon as i turn the car on and put it in drive the light turns on. someone told me that it could be a loose wire.

Weird screeching sound? Could be the pump ...but its worth checking few other things first. On sedans, the ALB computer is bolted to the frame behind the back seat, on the driver side ...you can see the error code light from the trunk. Follow the procedure in the Service Manual to check to see what the error code is telling you. It may indeed indicate a bad pump ...or it could be a bad sensor at one or more of the wheels ...it could be something as simple as low fluid in the main reservoir ...or (really) it could be a bad alternator (low, or fluctuating voltage will trigger the ALB warning light). Check the fluid and computer first. Then do a continuity test on each of the wheel sensors ...the plugs are easily accessible: the front one are plugged in near the coil pn one side, and near the strut tower on the passenger side (round pink plugs) and the rear connectors are accessible through the trunk (see manual).

WooHoo!! Man Im glad I could be of service!!

Yeah ABS as youll soon see, is a common thing with us here (well those with ABS at least...my 87 doesnt have it and I'm actually kinda grateful from the stories and prices Ive heard!!)...so anyhow, if it turns out being something super expensive, alot of folks on here have really just learned to do without... :(

mine does the screeching also right when im pulling out my drive way, the previous owner said it was a bad pump, it sounded like a retarded dolphin comming from the rear of the car. If you want to disable it just pull the ALB relay box in the fuse box under the hood, the screeching will stop and the light will go away. Of course your car will be like a car without ALB.

Relays and fuses won't effect the ALB warning light ...if you want to disable it, you'll have to remove the bulb.

I took out all the fuses that said ALB, and nothing the light is still there, and i really havent noticed a difference, well that might be because i havent needed to suddenly stop. but the light is still on
Most often, dash warning lamp are caused by a fault in a wire connector common to all the components, have you tried troubleshooting?!?

Check if any code is showing in the ABS control unit, located behind the rear seat, upper left, LED will flash code(s) and can be viewed by removing a small concealment plug instead of the entire trim panel.

did you take out the ALB relay too? its a black box where the fuses are.

maybe you should pull your "alt sense" fuse for 10 seconds or either dissconnect your battery for a few minutes to see if the code resets and goes out. thats what you have to do for ECU codes anyway

if you want a ALB pump from the junk yard be weary because they are probably all bad. make sure you can return it if you have to. I can get you one if you want but im not testing it since its a PITA, that and the fact that they tend to fail is why i havent changed mine lol

If your sound is coming from the rear of the car, it's probably your fuel pump, not ABS. The ABS pump is up front, drivers' side, under the battery. It makes a noise like what you describe, but not from the back.

As Sam said, the flashing S3 indicates a Code on the TCU.
