The other thread was not very active so this is a new one to get more response. Headers can be done with dyno or track results.
The cost will be apx.$500-10people or less, $400 or less for 20 people and more than that maybe 300 ish. No promises yet, but if some one can save me the time and money of driving to Denver for exhaust manifolds I will cut the cost of your headers. DV8- you have first dibs. I know you have the precious. PM me for my address. I could use my car as the labrat but I would rather have it running for the time being.

thanks guys for your support!
kyle :)

Post below on how definite you are on buying so we can get the best rates. I need to give this man the bus. for his hookup!

yo sr79labrat, I dont have enought hours in a day to read this 55 page long post, but I have been around this forum and know a little bit about what is going on with the turbo legend. Anyways, it seems like most of the active members want to know what is going on with this project, so why cant u just update on the board? If posting updates on the website is not going to work, how about you create a webpage and update that, and only tell the people on the mailing list what the URL is. Oh yea....ad me to the list b/c i want to know whats up! rawood@carolina.rr.com

Richard,

To be blunt- I am tired of being flamed, and all of the negative remarks that go along with posting here. When I make a thread or a post about what I want to do....I get flamed 90% of the time. I am not saying that I am perfect, but that by doing e-mail updates I have had 100% positive feedback. I feel like I am trying to bring something of substance to the Legend owners that they do not have. Yes, I have wild ideas. Yes, I do intend to follow through with every single one of them. If the more active members want updates they can have them e-mailed to them like everyone else. I am not opposed to any one posting my updates, but I refuse to respond to negative remarks. I like e-mail because in a way it weeds out people that just want to say something to say it. In the near future there will be a website that I will carry this forward to. You are added to the list, and I will send you the last update with pics.

THanks, Kyle

Idrewfelix--
You already know that Kyle lives in Colorado.
Besides, his custom turbo must be tuned to perfection,
unlike the slew of dime-a-dozen, bolt-on turbo kits for a SC.

Kyle--
Had you listened to the haters on this forum,
you would have joined the stagnant, "it can't be done" crowd.
Instead, you pushed the barrier and unearthed newfound potential--a true Legend visionary.

The haters scream that your headers suck,
yet they are still driving on stock ones.
They claim you have too much piping,
yet they have none.
They claim that your turbine is way too big,
yet their lack of one is not too small.

Succinctly, most of these guys are stubborn out of jealousy.
Sure your setup needs work; what custom fabrication doesn't?

It only gets better from here.

Cheers,
Keith

Hey sr79labrat, you want to run your turbo legend against my turbo sc?
Why? What are you running? Maybe bring that thing to the next big meet and we can get down.
I think that may be my next car, but the 400.

still good things to come.... new pics are nice... just can't wait to see it done!!!...

kyle i was actually wondering cause i never knew what size tubine you running... but i guess? it's to big... why don't you run a smaller one? wouldn't that help on the spool time?

just curious.. i would email you this but i was on here first hahahhahha...

Wil,
I have the smaller T4. It is pretty big, but when I was reading up on large turbines I liked the idea. They produce less heat and give more top end power-which is where we race. Spool time would improve with a smaller turbine but it would lack top end. My cure for getting off the line will be a LSD and a 3000 stall speed tq converter.

CU and Aztec- got toy updates. Everyone should have them up to now.
Thanks, kyle

haha you know I was just kidding, however, im pretty sure you're aware that my kit wasnt a bolt on, but it was actually custom fabricated for my specific power goals.

Thank you Keith! Thank is exactly what I am saying. It does need work, but I had to start somewhere.
Although people are flaming you, I can see why they are. It makes sense if you're willing to spend that much time and effort into something that has never been done; then you should have done it right the first time instead of going through the a sloppy messy and trying to get it done again and again. And it doesnt take much to dyno tune either- about $300 which im sure you can afford.

I still don't understand why you went with a big turbo either, if the manifolds/piping/ etc etc are restricted then you should have went with a turbo that would utlize that kind of power; such as a T3 flanged TE44.

Because I would be honored to race against the first Turbo Legend :)
And yes, I will be attending the next big meet sometime in the near future.

Powerhouse Racing Equal-lenght manifold
Powerhouse Racing Map-ECU
PT61 Precision Turbo
These are my base mods

BTW avoid the 400, its junk ;)
I would like to get the updated emails as well if possible: idrewfelix@hotmail.com

Yes, I have the money to do it right. No, it was not done right the first time. I was cheated by the shop that took my car. I based my decision off of the fact that they hade made their own car....which I hear from another source that they did not do the work themselves. I will do the tune when I can get the rest of the work done first.

Once again the shop made the decision to buy that turbo although I told them I thought it was was to big for what I wanted. After all, they were the "turbo specialist". Now there are no restrictions and I fully spool that bad boy in first. It is not bad not that there is a decent design to feed the beast.

I will be curious to race your car...how many psi are you running? With what compression ratio? Are you auto also?

Why is the 400 crap? I know there is limited aftermarket, but you can see the patern here.

Thx, Kyle

Did any 1 get the update?

update...? i guess.

By the way...i have a hard on everytime i think of your car now.

Idrewfelix,

I work at lexus right now and i have seen some nice SC300-400...i was thinking of changing the headlights/bumper and taillights. ANd after seeing that vid of one running a 10 sec quarter....sweet. And no, i have not driven a stick yet.

sorry for the hijack.

You mean to say that the kit was choosen to meet your specific power goals.
Unlike Kyle, your maifold, ECU, etc., were bolt-on parts designed for a SC--not "custom fabricated" per your original claim.
