G2 bias!! LOL

 

Enter the photo contests...maybe we'll be on front someday....maybe....

 

In stead of saying it should be a G1, why not have both of them. Find a buddy with a G2 and get a very high quality picture. Then everybody wins! Except RL owners. But they're not complaining so I say screw em.

 

well, the site is, in fact, called acura-LEGEND.com so RL owners should respect their elders. personally, the sites logo doesn't bother me at all cuz the g2s are still legends and it's the nature of our society for companies to have their latest product represent their name.

 

Im saying it could be a collage of different pictures of all the acura models that al.com is home to.

 

maybe a new thread can be made and everyone can submit a picture of their cars/year and mileage and once a month or week someones car from that thread can be posted as the front page :thumbsup:

 

^They tried something similar to that before. It was whomever won a photo contest though. And, G2's will almost always win because that's what the majority of this site's users own.
So yeah, there is kind of a bias, but also it's kind of a majority rules thing. If it were changed often enough, I think for sure we could rotate some G1's and G3's and G4's.
But yeah, the way it is now shows two G2's and an ad for the NALM with more G2's on it, so it's probably time for a change.

 

Have a contest for the best looking car and hold the contests for a different generation every month, that way everybody wins.
Or have a gif. cycling through the 4 generations.

I have thought about it too, never nothered me that much seeing as the G2 is quite pleasant on the eye anyway. But the other Generations do need some credit.
I also accept the fact that the G2 section is far more happening than the G1 and G3/G4 sections, so it sort of stand to reason, sort of... :nutkick:

You guys have to admit, the banner is pretty dang clean.

I'm sure that there are some other people on here with the talent and time to make one. Why don't people just get a move on with making their on and submitting them somewhere? I'm not sure what dimensions are acceptable, but the current one is 400px x 150px.

 

yeah, the gif idea was tried, it was much too big for the 56k users. it was supposed to smoothly transition through the different gens.

 

Transition effects on gif are killer because it requires a frame for each stage of the transition... >_<
