Damn, that hose looks good on your car.

Thanks guys, I bought the clamps seperate and teh hose was thought to be spectra but turned out to be goodyear (no complaints here). I bought a 16" universal size and cut it down to the needed size. It does look as sexy as I imagined it too mmmm.

Hell ya it does, especially with the little hose running along side of the radiator, they match pretty good. Waiting patiently when you get your turbos in!!

yeah... those are good for light colored imports... but i'm not fond of how they look on darker colors.. and i've tried em on a muscle car.. they look like crap compared to just a regular new black hose. but on there it looks good. and this is comin from a guy that restores engine bays and tweeks em to look as good as possible. ;]

i'm a big fan of minimalisation on bays.. make everything look as clean as possible... is why i like hotrods so much... the bays look immaculate when you do em right.

post a pic of the bay as is... i'm interested now. lol

Well unfortunately the bayis in a under construction stae so you will really have to wait to see what it will truly look like but here is a hold over pic from a few pages back, it is very full right now

Lol, all I can say is damn, what a mess lol. You should also change the shocks for the hood lol.

*nods*yeah.. that bright blue doesn't fit... or is that just something holding up the hood? nice cleaning job on the motor parts.

only thing i can think of that would rally make it pop, is to get some highheat metal paint for the turbo. that'd pull it all together nicely.

also.. when you're all done... plastic and tape off everything beside the shock mounts and the rad support... then tape off all the little nuts and bolts... then plastic and tape the fenders slightly below where it 45` bends at the top *to where you can still see the fender's mounting side in the bay* then do an over spray of gloss white. that'll get rid of any small imperfections that are right up close when you first open the hood. ;]

:woot: Turbos are done I will be picking them up tomorrow :D

Lol, the blue thing is a broom stick that is holding up the hood I will one day get something nice to replace it. But I don't have hood struts because it is a Carbon Fiber hood and the compression as higher than I feel good about. And this is the worst teh engine has looked since it has been in it (see sig). But yeah it is going to get some jet hotting and some powder coating and then once I recoop. from all this mess I will get to the body work and fill teh excess holes and paint teh engine bay. I am sticking to my plan :) So it will be a full fledge make over for her.

Ok I can rest a little easier about the exhaust routing under and behind the power steering. In fact I will admit that I contemplated daily whether I was going to attempt to swap the PS to the other side to avoid flow restriction, but I feel pretty good about it now. And yes it is mandrel bent :2cool:

The tape disguises it but the bend is quite acceptaple

Excuse the pluming that it is leaning against I had to support the pipe.

The turbos (blades) themsleves are actaully the same size however one compressor housing is actually a M11 and the other is a M10 but they are both upgraded from the original size and they are sexy. It is a little deceptive though because of the compressor housing size one also appears to be a little bored out but I figure what I will do is take the bored out one and place that on the side that has the longest distance to the intake. The corrugated hose also came in yesterday and I might get away with the one 48" hose.

Its not a race and I don't mind, it would be nice to see his full build before I am done lol :) But no set ETA I happy to be at a point where I actually can see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Weld exhaust (unknown)

have the lines for teh FPR and fuel filter made (Monday)

A little bit more cutting where the piping from the air filter to teh compressor goes (this weekend)

Cut the holes in teh frame for the drain lines (this weekend)

Buy the filters and 3 in elbows for the turbos (possibly this weekend)

Possibly buy a set of external wastegates (unknown)

Cut the piping for the lower radiator hose (this weekend)

Put everything back together (as I finish it up)

Tuning and getting it to accept her added psi (who knows)

This is all very new to me so I am just taking my time to do it one step at a time with some steps here and there combined if the correlate to one another or can give me a chance to take a break from a step that I am frustrated with. But all in all once it is done she will be good tilll teh HG blows and I o-ring the bolck and put the TII heads on. But it is snowing alot out here and the roads are horrible so she wont see the streets for some time anyway (unless a clear snow free sunny day comes along) :D.
